Excellent stay

Pros: I stayed at this gorgeous little hotel full of character, perfectly tucked away in the heart of Groningen. From the moment I arrived, I was met with the warmest of welcomes, thanks to genuinely helpful and friendly staff who made everything feel effortless. The atmosphere was cosy and inviting, blending charm with comfort, and its central location made exploring the city incredibly easy. A truly memorable stay that felt personal, relaxed, and wonderfully welcoming. Each time I visit the city this will be my number one choice.

Warmth and elegance

Pros: This hotel amazed us as soon as we stepped in. The cozy fireplace, the warm and welcoming atmosphere, and the beautiful paintings on the walls immediately made us feel at home. The rooms are nicely decorated, and everything is thoughtfully provided for the guests’ comfort. I especially loved the personalized handwritten welcome card in the room. The staff at the reception were also very friendly. We will definitely come back.

Pros: Everything. One of the most beautiful place I have ever been. And while the city is also great, now I mean the hotel. It was an amazing stay and we can't wait to be back.

Beautiful old hotel right on the Big Market square

Pros: Super friendly reception staff making us feel welcome. They even went out of their way to make me a decaf because the machine available to guests only had caffeinated options. The hotel is right in the centre, facing the Market square but our room looked out over the roofs to the back so was nice and quiet. They have a beautifully decorated very cozy lounge area for guests where one can sit by the fire or just to relax. Our room was large with a nice big bed, a desk and a separate little table with two easy chairs.

Cons: We had to park the car some distance away in one of the public car parks (but we managed to pre-book that, so it was no trouble really).

Pros: Just wow! I've stayed in many hotels and without doubt this is in the top 5. From the warm welcome and the lovely touch of actually leaving a welcome card in the room to my departure,everything was amazing. I just wish I could have stayed longer. I will return to Groningen and for sure stay here again, but longer next time!
