Pros: A great ambiance in a very special and original hotel. Awesome and original home made breakfast

Cons: The experience was close to perfect, but if one improvement we would love to see is a queen size bed

Pros: Very friendly staff. From the first moment we arrived till the moment we left. The room was very spacious and very lovely decorated. The breakfast was amazing. Not only was it very complete and tasty. They went the extra mile in preparing the breakfast with eye for small details.

It was a memorable stay at a beautiful boutique hotel with warm and inviting hosts.

Pros: We loved our beautiful, comfortable room and our host was so welcoming and made us feel at home. We had a wonderful breakfast in the dining room. The whole place is beautifully decorated and a unique experience from standard hotels.

Cons: I honestly can’t think of anything. We loved our stay here and will be back if we have the opportunity. Our host and the staff were wonderful.

Pros: Situation in the middle of town, nice old building with character. Brilliant place to park and charge el bike

Pros: A lovingly restored old house in the centre of Steenwijk, a few minutes walk from the market and Rams Woerthe. Apparently also a very good restaurant, but we didn't get the chance to eat there.

Cons: An old building has weak noise insulation. They do provide earplugs.

Cute room in traditional style

Pros: Cute room above a restaurant with a traditional Dutch box bed. Friendly and helpful service, and the usual facilities.

Cons: The room was rather small and didn't have much storage, and we kept banging our heads on the light hanging low above the bed. The bell from the nearby church clocktower was a bit annoying in the mornings.

All too short as we only had one night!

Pros: Our best night's sleep in comfortable bed with a delicious breakfast the following morning. Loved seeing the old smithy & just were sorry we couldn't have dinner. The building is full of character & the hosts were very kind & helpful.
