MyHotel Steenwijk - Giethoorn

I absolutely loved my stay 🤩

Pros: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Amazing Stay at MyHotel Steenwijk Giethoorn I absolutely loved my stay at MyHotel Steenwijk Giethoorn! The room was beautiful, spacious, and incredibly comfortable everything about it was perfect. The bathroom was stunning and well-equipped, making the experience even more enjoyable. Every detail felt carefully considered, and I truly felt at home. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the area.

Cons: The only inconvenience was that I booked the day before arrival and had to call three times to get the code and instructions, as the lady on the phone kept saying she would send it “in a while” but didn’t until my third call she did and everything was sorted. Aside from that, everything was amazing the room and bathroom were beautiful, and it was truly the best stay , extremely comfortable 🤩

Modern Hotel, good location

Pros: Easy to find the location, the hotel is modern, has parking places, the staff was nice and the bad very comfortable.

Cons: The heating doesn't work at all and it was a bit cold for us during night. We set the temperature 23 but the incoming air was cold not hot (the temperature in the room was 20)

Economic, friendly and convenient - perfect for an overnight stop.

Pros: This is a fantastic overnight stop. Good walking around the hotel, very close to the main highway for a fast start in the morning if driving. A reasonably short walk from the station if you are using public transport. The breakfast is excellent with a terrace when the weather is good. Love it.

Cons: The TV will not pick up BBC without a lot of interference but that is a niggle rather than a complaint. I took a book :)

Great value and convenient location a short walk from McDonalds :)

Pros: Lovely breakfast with many options. Good coffee. The breakfast room is light and airy - a very pleasant way to start the day.

Peaceful, great sleep, great location and staff.

Pros: Excellent location, friendly staff, modern decor, decent breakfast.

Cons: The rain shower was broken, the windows could be cleaner, considering we pay extra for the room with the view.

Great stay

Pros: Loved the modern decor and the staff were lovely. Breakfast is good value for money. The sheets were great quality and the natural soaps and shampoo bar were lovely. Nice coffee and tea in the room too. Was central enough to walk to the town too and get a little exercise in.

Cons: No fridge in the room and no food services for lunch or dinner available so I had I make sure I had my food shop in which is where the fridge would have come in handy for cold salads and juice etc.

Cons: The sliding roof over the end of the bed was on comfortable

Small cozy hotel

Pros: We booked two rooms, everything went smoothly 👍 There was everything we needed, bathrooms were clean - our expectations were met.

Ideal for a short stay

Pros: Overall cleanliness (the descaled water kettle was a good sign!) Comfy beds and pillows. Quiet even though it's next to the highway. Not big but still spacious. Responsive staff before arrival (in Booking app chat) regarding my questions. Big and small towel per person.

Cons: Only minor things: Only one thick duvet, no other blankets in the closet to adjust thickness. With reception not open during evenings this meant I just had to deal with it. Dustbunnies in the corners (overall nothing to complain about though). Window shutters left quite some daylight past the edges. No small shelf thingy in the shower to leave your shower items on. No air vents for outside fresh air to get in, the only option was to open a window (and with day temperatures of +15 degrees Celsius that meant mosquitoes during the darker hours of the day).

Very clean, very friendly staff!!! Exceptional good breakfast.

Pros: It was very well organized and it looked brand new.

Cons: The building is very practical from the outside, so is the location, but therefore also very quick to get to and to leave from. The inside is much nicer.
