Well worth a visit

Pros: Great little place with a host who really makes you feel welcome. Gave good advise to the city and where to have dinner. I was there a monday, so quite a few restaurants was closed, but he pointed out the ones that was opened and gave recommendations which I followed and did not regret. Breakfast was fantastic and I wish I could have stayed a few days more.

Cons: Nothing to speak of. I prefer a little harder bed, but else I really cannot find anything negative to mention.

Excellent

Pros: Attention to detail is the first thing that comes to mind. This was not just another hotel, it was a very enjoyable 5 star experience. From the warm friendly welcome until our farewell, this will be the hotel that first comes to mind after 5 weeks of travel for all the right reasons. And yes as you will have read in other reviews don’t forget to enjoy the superb breakfast.

Pros: We had a great stay! The host was super friendly and welcoming, really a lovely person. The room was clean, spacious, and had big windows with a nice view of the church tower. There’s even Netflix if you want it. Breakfast was tasty and nicely prepared. Overall, such a wonderful stay!

Rating: 10/10 (we’d give more if we could!)

Pros: B&B De Stadssingel is a beautifully restored property and a true delight to stay in. Jaap is an incredibly warm and welcoming host who has created a space that’s both elegant and inviting. Our room had an exquisite garden view, a striking piece of artwork that added a lovely touch, and divine bathroom products that made it feel like an exclusive boutique hotel. The breakfast was exceptional—thoughtfully prepared and beautifully presented. We also really appreciated the secure bicycle parking. A standout experience from start to finish.

Loved it, but would recommend to implement a storage for guests.

Pros: The room was very cozy and beautiful. Shampoo and body lotion were super nice. Shower was just perfect!

Cons: I could not leave my bag at the hotel on the following day, so I needed to take my bags to Giethoorn. The weather was not very good, I didn't have time to find the locker so I took the bags with me to the place where I had rent the boat. My mum and I were exhausted by the end of the day.

Book this place!

Pros: Absolutely everything! So much attention to detail - stylishly decorated with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. We were very pleased that, although the room was on the small side (not a problem as we knew this when booking), the bed was still huge and felt so luxurious. Breakfast was amazing! Jaap was a lovely host who is clearly a natural in hospitality and is so helpful - a great guy!

Cons: Nothing at all.
