Hotel Martensplek

Excellent reception!

Pros: The person who attended us could not have done more to make us feel at home. Alone for everything, he did miracles! If we are in the neighborhood we'll come back for sure.

Hotel: Good value for money . Food : not bad but not great

Pros: Excellent value for money. Big clean rooms. Quiet location. Each room has balcony, wonderful!

Cons: Restaurant service is slow & inexperienced. For example, red wine bottle in cooler. For example 20 minute wait for breakfast cappuccino, and longer wait for breakfast food. Loud uninspiring music. Hotel towels are clean but very thin. Room lighting is limited.

Away from crowds, and tourists this is the place to visit if you want rural Holland and if you’re taking part in Hoogeve

Pros: A welcoming atmosphere on arrival. Pleased to see me, interested etc. unlike most chain hotels. Great bar and restaurant. Good food choices and superb staff. Everyone was so kind and helpful. The room was comfortable, and bathroom had everything. Very clean and a balcony that wasn’t used due to the rain!

Cons: Only downside was apparent lack of coffee or hot drink facilities; a few times I could have done with a coffee or tea, but that aside no issues.

Pros: Did not have breakfast. Very clean and quiet room, staff was informative and friendly, good value for the money, the hotel is of the beaten path. We enjoyed our stay.

Pros: I liked how spacious was the room. Additionally, the food was very delicious and good quality. Moreover, there is a golf course nearby where you can practice and play for an extra fee. Breakfast is nice.

Cons: The room is missing a few things that needs improvement. 1. Garbage bins. It is not okay to have only one and in the toilet. 2. wall hangers for coats 3. I would be happy if there would be net on the small window so that mosqitos do not come in.

Nice hotel for a car traveller at a good price

Pros: Good parking area, room was good size and clean, own balcony was a nice plus on a warm Autumn evening :-) Location is very remote, so no traffic noise or any other noise in the evening or night. Price/quality ratio was very good, compared to large hotel chains on the edges of cities and motorway junctions.

Cons: Bed was either quite old or otherwise just too soft. I didn't get back pain, but I would certainly prefer a firmer bed. Wifi was a bit sketchy in my room, I think it was because my room was in a corner and wifi seemed to get stronger signal already by the room door. Breakfast was very 'Dutch', fair enough we are in the Netherlands but a bit more choice would be nice regardless.

Top!

Pros: Vriendelijk personeel en een gemoedelijke sfeer. Top!

Drentse hooglanden wandel twee daagse

Pros: Het ontbijt was uitgebreid . Maar er waren ook vettige dingen die we niet aten vanwege het vele vet

Cons: Er waren weinig stopcontacten
