Pros: The staff are always friendly. The menu is exclusively dedicated to fine cuisine, and the selection is not extensive. The quality of the steak was excellent. The hotel was charming and the rooms were comfortable. My room was small but well-maintained and clean. The hotel's location was convenient and the surrounding area was pleasant. Overall, it was a very satisfactory experience for my two-day stay.

A very pleasant countryside retreat with good facilities and excellent staff

Pros: Excellent (dinner) waiting staff. The pool table proved popular too

Cons: Lack of air-conditioning in rooms on a very warm evening. I was fortunate with a blower, but some of the group I travelled with, had to manage without.

Good.

Pros: Large hotel set in woodland. Plenty of parking and bike storage. Large room. Good evening food and breakfast.

Cons: Only issue: we were upgraded to a balcony room but the balcony had a dirty ashtray and empty fag packet on the table. Cleaned up by staff and all was good.

Pros: Good sized room; quiet and comfortable ; nice nature walk right outside the door

Cons: Room was very cold when we arrived; took awhile to warm up! Would have liked more coffee cups as only one small cup per person for tea at night snd coffee in morning is a bit skimpy

Pros: Small but cosy comfortable room. Nice comfy beds. Radiator with dial so you can control heating to your liking. Nice shower. Tea kettle and fancy coffee maker in room.

Cons: Location is bit strange. Not convenient for nearby town if you don't have a car. No staff on hand after hours so if you're back late and key card doesn't work you have a problem.
