Huize Hölterhof Wellness Hotel Restaurant

Lovely place to stop

Pros: Pleasantly surprised. This is a wellness spa club that also has rooms. The rooms are in lodges each with balcony or patio surrounding a beautiful landscaped small lake. I was only staying over so I did not sample the spa facilities. I found English Breakfast tea bags in the room, and they had my favourite brand of weiss beer on draft in the restaurant - almost home from home. Food is good and breakfast was excellent. Would recommend this if you want a health spa or somewhere quiet, not in a busy City/town.

Relaxing

Pros: Lovely location and setting. Good value for money. Food excellent, too.

Cons: Rooms basic but as expected for price.

Serene environment, lovely for a little break from daily life

Pros: The spa area was very nice with plenty of space to relax both indoors and outdoors. The main sauna was modern and clean, and the special “opgieting” ceremonies were fun to experience! Overall it felt very calming, and I liked that the hotel rooms were not overly luxurious meaning the price was still accessible. Staff were very friendly and helpful and the restaurant food was good!

Cons: You can’t talk in the hot tub - understandable, but kind of a shame ;)

Pros: Garden was lovely All very cosy The ceiling fan worked well in this hot weather . Staff very friendly enjoy and helpful

Cons: Verandah wall /fence outside our bedroom was very “solid” and not friendly to sit and look out . Didn’t enjoy sitting in the verandah . We were disappointed that smoking was permitted outside in any areas when it is called a “wellness “ hotel especially in the pool resting area . Smelling smoke on the verandah next to our bedroom prevented us keeping the verandah door open when it was very hot

A moment of Zen!

Pros: Very nice and calm country-side hotel close to the German border. Nice staff. room was OK and with coffee machine. Great, soothing garden next to the hotel. Definitely a place to visitm especially if you are a SPA fan. Food in the restaurant was very fine, only my spicy soup was without spices.

Cons: I'm uncertain that I'd go there in winter/rainy time as the rooms are placed in small houses outside the main hotel. but will definitely come back in summer time. Parking is on the other side of a small countryside road - Especially close to the border one is no reasssured about safety, but nothing happened to my car. Breakfast was OK, but I've seen better.

I will book it again definitely.

Pros: The breakfast and dinner is very good and I like the atmosphere in the restaurant. By the way, The sauna is amazing.

Pros: beautifully sorrounded by trees, with a small pod right in the center of the structure. extremely silent and relaxing. could not try the wellness factilities, breakfast was good, not extraordinary.

Cons: quite small room, bathroom door could not open completely due to the bed. it is OK for 1 night, 2 max.

Pros: A wonderful place to relax your mind and body. Super quiet, cool nature, caring staff. This place has everything to forget about personal issues for a while and plunge into a real relaxation. Thank you for the amazing vibe!

Pros: A wonderful place with an amazing atmosphere. Every time we are here we relax wonderfully. Very delicious breakfasts, nice service, wonderful sauna ceremonies. Very tasty dishes in the restaurant.

Pros: Very nice breakfast with range of cheese, fresh frut

Cons: We came at 8:30pm and the restaurant was about to close so we had to go to the city for dinner
