De Schotse Hooglander

An outstanding B&B and run by really friendly and helpful people. I will definitely book again.

Pros: Easy to find and good parking directly in front of the B&B. The apartment (as it is a lot more than but a 1 room B&B) looked fantastic on our arrival at 21:00 at night. Beautiful soft and warm lighting made it feel very welcoming. We were very impressed with the attention to detail that this couple put into their property. They have put a lot of love and care into getting every detail perfect. A Very comfortable bed where we both slept very well was followed by an AMAZING breakfast !!! Far more than we could eat... We were there in winter so we could not really use the private patio in the garden but I can imagine that having breakfast out there would be a beautiful and VERY memorable experience. I look forward to booking again as this little diamond would make an ideal base of operations from which to explore the northern area of the Netherlands.

Cons: There was nothing that we did not like - the location, property, setting, views, breakfast, parking, WIFI, lighting, bathroom facilities, kitchenette, etc... all far exceeded our expectations in all categories. Well done to the operators of this beautiful little gem.

Pros: Brilliant location very quiet, only 5 minutes away from the assen TT circuit. Huge room, super comfortable bed, easy parking, very clean and large bathroom and lovely helpful hosts.

Very nice place to be, with super-friendly staff.

Pros: Breakfast was excellent with bread, fruit and tea/coffee. Too much, so we took something with us for lunch. There was a nespresso-machine with some cups.

Cons: I would appreciate some cups of coffee-milk. It would be nice if you could switch off the main light while still being able to use the small light in the sitting.

We had a great time.

Pros: The hosts are very nice and friendly. We are very happy with everything, especially the breakfast. Surroundings are rural, there is a nice patio. We hope to come back some day.

Pros: Fijne ruimte met twee zitjes (eetgedeelte en lees/relax/chill gedeelte). Bij binnenkomst een halletje met keukenblokje en verderop in de hal een doucheruimte en apart toilet.

Cons: In de kamer is het gehorig. Je hoort vooral in het halletje leefgeluiden van de host. Geluiden van buitenaf (weg ernaast) hoor je niet.

Fantastisch. Rustig gelegen, super uitgebreid ontbijt en heerlijke wellness

Pros: Het is een prachtige B&B in een heerlijk rustige omgeving. Mirjam en Hedzer zorgen ervoor dat je niets te kort komt. Heerlijk bed en super uitgebreid ontbijt. Wij hadden de sauna en jacuzzi bijgeboekt dus na thuiskomst lekker kunnen ontspannen. Wij raden het echt aan om hier eens te verblijven. Een dikke 10 wat ons betreft. Wij hebben alweer geboekt voor volgend jaar

Cons: Er is echt niets te bedenken wat niet goed zou zijn. Mocht er wel iets zijn geef dat dan aan en Mirjam zal er alles aan doen om het aangenaam te maken

Pros: Een prachtige B&B, ruim opgezet. Een heerlijk bed, fijne douche en een fantastisch uitgebreid ontbijt. Wij komen graag bij de Schotse Hooglander en raden het zeker aan.

Volop genieten van rust en luxe in het prachtige Drenthe.

Pros: Wat een prachtige mooie plek hebben Mirjam en Hedzer hier weten te creëren, echt van alle gemakken voorzien. Het meest bijzondere is dat zij d.m.v. hun B&B hier ook anderen van willen laten genieten. Wij hebben samen met onze hond hier 2 dagen volop genoten. Bij aankomst lagen er zelfs 2 koekjes voor onze hond, zo attent. Wil je genieten van rust en luxe gecombineerd met het prachtige Drenthe dan ben je hier aan het juiste adres. Tot Ziens.

Rust, ontspanning en mooi!

Pros: Super sfeervolle accommodatie met alle gemakken voorzien! Zeker met de wellness erbij maakt het af!

Cons: De verwarming staat best hoog, ondanks dat er een losse airco hangt!
